Can I replace the pedals that come on my eBike?

Yes, with any standard 9/16” x 20 TPI. It is the most common size bike pedal available, remember that the left hand side is reverse threaded. 

Is the top speed still 35 mph for Xyber?

Xyber is delivered at a default setting of 20 mph top speed. It can be changed to 35 mph in the segway-mobility app.

Can I install my 2nd Xyber battery?

No, this is a very involved process and requires a certified Segway dealer to install the 2nd battery.

How can I check my tracking info for my eBike?

After shipping, the dealer must first assemble your eBike. Please work with your dealer to schedule your eBike pick up in-store or arrange for home delivery (only applicable from Segway LA)

Xafari battery compartment is hard to close, what should I do?

The gasket around the edge of the cover has a tight fit and needs to be installed with a firm hand. We suggest pressing on the section of the battery cover right below the logo.

What bike rack are people using to transport Xafari?

Requires a vehicle rack with a max weight limit per tray that accommodates 100 lbs. for Xafari and 160 pounds for Xyber.

How do I select ‘Home Delivery’ online?

Add the desired eBike to cart. A box will pop-up requiring a dealer choice. Set the filter to “home delivery” option and choose a certified home delivery dealer.

Can I make the Xyber seat higher?

Xyber’s seat is not adjustable.

Affirm is available at checkout for those who qualify.

How do I get repairs done on my eBike?

Repairs can be completed at Segway authorized dealerships for all Segway eBikes and many Segway scooters. Your closest retailer can be found on the dealer locator here: dealer locator tool.

What eBike accessories are available?

A hard shell and soft shell in-frame bag storage are available for Xyber. A phone clamp is offered that fits both Xafari and Xyber here. As well as a 2nd battery for Xyber.

Can I take someone on the backseat of a Xyber?

Xyber is not designed to carry additional passengers.

Is Xyber legal on the road in the US?

Xyber is designed for off-road use only.

Can I modify my pick-up address after placing my order?

Unfortunately, we are unable to change the pick-up address once the order is placed. Please ensure that you confirm your pick-up address before completing your order.

What are the new laws in NY around eBikes?

New York passed several new laws that went into effect recently Legislation S.154F/A.4938-D which requires retailers to sell only bikes or micro mobility devices with batteries that meet UL 2271/2272, Legislation S.7503-B/A.01910-B which requires retailers of micromobility devices, to provide customers with an operating manual that covers specific battery safety recommendations and is printed in the most common 4 languages in NY. Legislation S.7760-A/A.8102-A will require micromobility devices, mopeds, and bicycles with electric assist to have a red tag attached to the charging cord which states to unplug when not in use, and Legislation S.7744-D/A.8310-C requires retailers to have a sticker on any micromobility devices they sell (including bikes with electrical assist) which states to always yield to pedestrians and follow traffic laws.

Will I have to pay for enhanced connection features?

Subscription to enhanced connection services is free with purchase of one of our eBikes for the first year. Network and cloud-based services require a subscription 1 year after and can be purchased via the Segway Mobility app.
