Fun Fun Fun Bought a Sinch 2 for both my wife and me and are loving them! Extremely versatile and yet very sturdy. I’m 6’1” and weigh 235 lbs and they handle my size very well. Even picked up a Burley Tail Wagon at the same time so our pugs could join.

Sinch Overstep Review This bike is like a Porches 911 on a bike trail. Due to its unique style and substantial road presence, you’ll get compliments and questions everywhere you go. You can have your handle bar high up and seat low and ride like a Harley Davidson, if that’s your style. For those of you who live in a dense urban setting like myself, and have to put your bike inside for safety reason, this folder bike is the one. After folding in half, it perfectly fits in my coat closet (not a lot of E-bikes can do that). When biking, the electric motor does make humming noise but it’s not too bothersome. Seat is mostly comfortable and fat tires do absorb all the road imperfections nicely. The free fender sets and a rack will arrive in two separate orders beside your bike order itself (and you’ll have to watch YouTube videos on how to install them), and packing/delivery was excellent and timely. 0-100% charge takes about 4 hours and you don’t need to take the battery out. Wish the lights were part of the body like the new Sinch Step-through 2.0; had to order mine separately (it’s super bright though). Great for commute, great for delivery, running errands or go for your new weekend adventure. Overall, 10/10, recommend!

Excellent for College My classes at my university are nearly 20-25 minute walks in every direction. This bike is serving me very well and I couldn’t be happier! The folding mechanic lets me fit it under my dorm bed and is excellent if you want something upper class for transportation at Uni<3

Bitchen lil bike I’m 6’1” and I was concerned about the size. I’m pleasantly surprised that I fit great, although I have the seat a little past the recommended limit because of my long legs. In a perfect world it could be a couple inches higher for a full leg extension but really wouldn’t know if I’d notice much. The power is awesome with the combined weight of 300lbs bike and rider it scoots impressively well! It’s a perfect match for me to fold up and take on long vacation trips!

I like it but a few subtle small items could be better
I really enjoy the folding/ step through Sinch. We do plan to take this bike with us when we get to traveling on the road. My other ebike is way to heavy and to large.
I am okay with the thumb throttle, that is not an issue. The pedal assist levels are fine, as well. My big issue is you need to turn, or rotate the pedals, 2 to 3 cranks, before the assist kicks in. When it kicks in you notice it. The bike that this, Sinch is replacing has a pedal and torque sensor, which I like a lot better. It seem Aventon, might have addressed this issue with the Sinch 2.0. A torque sensor is no part of the bike. Does it resolve the 2-3 crank issue, remains to be seen.

My wife and I love the matte green color and wrote to Aventon, that they should offer a few more colors. We liked to red, but the green is where it is at. The Sinch 2.0 comes in some new matte colors, silver and blue. We are very much considering buying a blue colored bike.

I do find the steering a bit twitchy, when turning corners. You start to turn in and the the should of the 4″ tire seems to come into play, and the turning becomes more pronounced. I will get use to it in time, but it will take time. I suspect this might have to do with the rake of the front forks. This is a well made folding bike, so there are a few limitations. It is a nice bike, and this comments, of mine, are really minor. I will get use to riding the bike, once I sell my older ebike.

Lastly, if the could design the handle bars to have a bend so the grips are closer to the rider, that would be handy. They are straight across, currently. As I mentioned we are thinking of getting a second version, the 2.0, ; so we do like the bike.

    Pedle assist
    Proofread version:

The Sinch is awesome for light trails. I share the concern of many people that the pedal assist takes way too long to kick in. If you’re on an easy trail with a bit of a hill, you need the motor to kick in, and you’re stuck almost stalled, waiting for the pedal assist to kick in. Many other brands allow you to tweak the controller settings to get faster speed, but the Sinch is very restricted in adjustments. Aventon really isn’t shining well with the Sinch. I love the folding capacity. I love the open space with the step-through, and the range is really good. It’s a great bike for easy transport in the back of a car trunk or van, and great for around town, but a disaster on trails. The tires are way too smooth for trails. It’s a shame because it has trail features, great brakes, and brilliant front shocks, but a terrible pedal assist. I recommend Aventon to offer an upgraded controller or allow computer resetting of speed, as well as assist sensitivity. Tom Boulder CO

    Great bike!
I got a sinch st and have been loving it! It’s very fun to ride and the design of it makes it the perfect bike for when I take my Aussie out on a bike ride to have him run and tire out. It feels very stable and it goes together well! It is my first electric bike and I’m loving it!

    Great old geezer ride
71 yrs old and hadn’t rode my mt bike for a few years. Not as steady as I used to be and some arthritis issues in my knees that made it difficult to swing my leg up and over the frame. Weather finally got nice enough to take the Sinch out for a decent ride. The step through is great. Takes a bit of getting used to how the gears and pedal assist work together. Also adjusted my seat low enough that I can get seated while my feet are still on the ground. That makes it easy for starting with the throttle. The pedal assist makes the shorter hip to pedal length comfortable. Just takes a bit of getting used to for anyone used to standard bicycle configuration. Bought the sun tour hydraulic seat post and cloud nine seat which seems to absorb shocks really nicely. The bike itself seems very well made and very sturdy. Pedals are a bit small for my old wide feet so replaced those with the widest ones I could find. Would have been nice if the throttle was a variable speed depending on how far you push it down as opposed to using just gears and pedal assist to control cruising speed. All in all a very nice machine that like anything new will take a bit of getting used to. It’s nice to ride again.
